In just a moment, I’m going to ask you to make a donation to my U.S. Senate campaign before our most important FEC reporting deadline of the year. Will you let me explain why this is such an important test of our momentum?
Everybody from the press to the Koch network to the GOP establishment in Washington, and maybe even Donald Trump, will pore over our FEC fundraising report next month to see how much money we raised and how strong our campaign is right now.
My opponent, Republican incumbent Thom Tillis, has already taken shots at me -- especially since public polls show us in a position to defeat him. Any sign of weakness in our report will lead to new attacks, and we’ll need the resources to get our message out.
So, we’re setting an ambitious goal: $25,000 from individual contributions before our mid-month deadline on Monday. We’re nearly halfway through the month already, and I believe we can reach our all-important FEC goal one step at a time if enough of us come together. That’s why I’m asking:
Will you add a contribution of $10 or more to my campaign for United States Senate in North Carolina? We need to have a strong FEC report if we’re going to turn our state blue in 2020. Chip in today.
