Young People won Tuesday, imagine what else we can do! |

Hello Friend, I am so proud of what we did on Tuesday. As so many of us mourned Roe v. Wade’s fall, I am fired up and encouraged by the response of young people across the country. They are protesting, organizing, and speaking out – and they are being heard loud and clear at the polls and in government chambers. -
The power of young people prevailed in Kansas and on Tuesday we stopped in its tracks the ballot measure to ban abortion in the state.
-
The power of young people prevailed in San Antonio, Texas. This week, the San Antonio City Council passed a resolution to help mitigate the criminalization of abortion and recognizing abortion services as health care.
-
The power of young people prevailed in Atlanta, Georgia. That same day, the city of Atlanta voted to donate $300,000 to an abortion fund.
URGE organizers and members played a role in every single one of these wins. Most notably, in Kansas, where URGE co-led the fight against the ballot measure, helping build a broad and diverse coalition of organizations and stakeholders, connected with 45,000+ Kansas voters via phone banking, door-to-door canvassing and showing up to multiple community Pride events and festivals.
Friend , help us spread this message far and wide: we can win on abortion – even in states that others count out. Let’s stop and celebrate this victory and the Kansas, Texas, and Georgia organizers who led it.

When young people organize, collaborate, and bring resources to bear, we can win! We know that the abortion fight is now state-by-state. We are prepared to hold the line across the South and Midwest, and we will keep fighting until we regain the right to abortion and reclaim power over our decisions. None of these wins would be possible without our deeply rooted investment in young people of color in the South & Midwest. And supporters like you, Friend. |
URGE will continue to need your support as we wage the fight of our lives, and we know we will always be able to count on you. Thank you for your support, |
