And I could be one of them, Fellow American!
As a proud Black Hispanic man, let alone being a Republican (because you know we’re usually labeled as Democrats), I never thought that my American Dream of running for Congress would come true.
Being a first-generation conservative Afro-Latino American is not all that easy – you always have critics and people who refuse to be in your corner. But I will never let those people stop me from representing our citizens for the greater good; my mother taught me better than that.
I know that as a congressman, you should always be there for the people and never get caught up in the spotlight. Some politicians these days are more untouchable than A-list celebrities, which is just wrong. We are supposed to serve the people and create laws based on their needs, not hide behind bodyguards.
I know that I can make real change for the people of this country – and what better way to start than running for the United States Congress!
When being a first-generation American, there’s this sort of pressure that you must strive to be the best because our family has the chance to live in the land of opportunity and freedom.
Well, Fellow American, I am dang sure I will be my best. The Pelosi Democrats are slowly but surely chipping away at our freedoms, and it pains me to live in a country where my children and future grandchildren won’t have the same opportunities as you and me.
My family means everything to me – they’ve made me who I am. So I must ensure that I leave this country better than it is today. One with no economic downfall, where they feel safe to walk down the street and have confidence in our nation, just as I’m sure you want for your family – I fully understand.
So please, take a chance on me and help my efforts to get America back to what it once was – the land of freedom, opportunity, and prosperity!
I look forward to being victorious with your help; I’m ready to get to work!
Sincerely, George S. Logan
