Two weeks left to call upon Health Secretary to tackle coercive abortion
Dear Supporter,
Ever since the Roe v Wade verdict was handed down, a woman’s right to choose has been a hot topic of conversation.
However, something that many pro-abortion advocates aren’t willing to talk about is that for many women, abortion isn’t a choice at all.
Hayley, whose story you can
read on our website ([link removed]) , was pressured into having an abortion by a violent boyfriend when she was just 16. And she’s not alone. A recent BBC poll found that 15% of British women had experienced pressure or coercion to have an abortion that they did not want. This data is shocking – and shows that coercion in abortion decisions is an urgent and immediate threat to women’s health and wellbeing, and is an often unrecognised form of domestic abuse.
Thousands of people have already signed our petition calling on the Health Secretary to take urgent action to tackle abortion coercion. The first step in combatting abortion coercion is for proper research to be conducted, and for it to be recognised as an urgent health priority.
If you haven’t already, please sign this petition. And can you share it with others? A new Prime Minister will be in place by the time we present this petition at the beginning of the new Parliamentary session, and we want enough signatures to get his or her attention!
What can I do?
Please sign this petition (link below), and get your family and friends to as well.

You can share the petition online here [link removed] ([link removed]) . However, we also need people getting out into their communities to collect paper signatures.
Please, if you can, collect signatures at your church or community group. You can order copies of the paper petition online ([link removed]) , or by calling the London office. You can also order our striking new poster ([link removed]) , to publicise the petition. It can be used to encourage those in your pro-life group, parish or community to take this important action.
The deadline for this petition is 19 August. We plan to present it at the beginning of the new Parliamentary session.
Thank you for campaigning with us to protect women and babies.
Kind regards,
Alithea Williams
