I’m not your typical candidate running for Congress. I’m a gay woman, pro-choice pastor, mom of three, and county commissioner who wants to bring real leadership to the people of Western North Carolina.

I know the realities many Western North Carolina families face because I’ve lived them myself.

As a working mom, I know that some days are more of a challenge than others. So many working families I know are feeling the pressure of this time, from rising prices at the pump to juggling the realities of childcare and work.

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community who helped lead the fight for marriage equality in the South, I understand what it means to fight to be equal under the law every single day.

As a pro-choice pastor, I’m committed to protecting reproductive rights and I’m dedicated to ensuring that everyone has the privacy to make choices about their health care.

And as a county commissioner, I understand the real work it takes to get things done for the people of WNC. I’ve led the charge to pass bipartisan policies addressing the opioid crisis and expanding pre-K education. I’m ready to take this same approach on day one in DC.

This is all in stark contrast to my multi-millionaire opponent Chuck Edwards. He’s an anti-choice, anti-LGBTQ+ state Senator backed by dark money, dirty politics, and his own wallet. He promotes the same right-wing agenda as Madison Cawthorn, and he isn’t going to bring the change WNC needs.

Polling shows us within a single-digit margin of Edwards and I know we have what it takes to defeat him in November. Will you chip in $25 or more to send a gay woman, pro-choice Pastor, mom of three, and county commissioner to Congress?
