John,
Last night, the Senate passed the PACT Act, finally guaranteeing that veterans exposed to toxic burn pits will get the health care they deserve.
Kirsten has fought alongside veterans, their families, and advocacy groups for over five years to pass this legislation—tirelessly building bipartisan support for a bill that will save lives for generations to come.

But the PACT Act’s passage was never guaranteed.
Last week, Senate Republicans blocked the bill—just one month after it passed the Senate with over 80 votes.
Kirsten called BS—joining veterans and advocates to hold the 25 Republicans who switched their votes accountable for a political stunt that put lives at risk.

For six days, veterans and their families camped outside the Capitol. Day or night, rain or shine, they vowed not to move until the Senate passed the bill.
Last night, the Senate voted on the legislation once again. This time, it passed by an overwhelming majority.
The PACT Act’s passage is a reminder that the toughest fights are always worth taking on. That Washington works best when Americans raise their voices and demand accountability. That you can achieve great things when you aren’t afraid to fail.
Thank you standing with Kirsten in this fight,
Stefanie
P.S. Kirsten treated many of the veterans and families who had camped outside the Capitol for more than five days to a round of drinks to celebrate their hard work and a well-earned victory. Take a look:
