1. Affordability Agenda for Jersey. All-the Above Approach to Energy. Fighting Lower Grocery Prices.

At ShopRite in Emerson, I announced new steps to combat rising costs at the grocery store to make life more affordable for Jersey families. I’m fighting to address supply chain chokepoints, stand up to meat and poultry monopolists colluding on prices, and support local producers. Read at WRNJ, NJ101.5. Watch at CNBC.

As Co-Chair of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus, I had a productive roundtable chat with producers of oil, gas and clean energy about reducing gas prices. 2. Bringing Semiconductor Chip Manufacturing Back to the U.S.

I’m proud to have helped pass the bipartisan CHIPS Act – a key pillar of my Affordability Agenda and a bill the Problem Solvers Caucus has been fighting for – to invest in American science and technology innovation. Making more semiconductor chips in the U.S. will help lower the costs and increase supplies of everyday items, from cars to ventilators, creating good jobs. 3. Defending the Right to Choose.

The Supreme Court’s devastating ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade is a horrific breach of personal privacy and freedom that puts millions of women’s lives and their health at risk. I will always oppose any attempt to roll back the clock and stand between a woman, her doctor, and her faith when making personal health care decisions. 4. Protecting Contraceptive Rights and Marriage Equality.

I voted to pass bipartisan, bicameral legislation to protect marriage equality in NJ and nationwide. I will always oppose any attempt to roll back full marriage equality for the LGBT community or discriminate against same-sex and interracial couples. Read at AP News.

I voted to pass legislation to protect the right to access contraceptives in NJ and nationwide. I’m fighting back against extremist attacks on marriage equality, contraception, and personal privacy, in the wake of the extreme and devastating SCOTUS decision overturning a woman’s right to choose. 5. Combating Gun Violence and Ensuring School Safety.

I’m proud to have helped pass the first major federal bipartisan gun safety legislation in decades – critical life-saving steps now signed into law. Watch at NJ Spotlight News.

Following senseless mass shooting tragedies in Buffalo, Uvalde, and others, I stopped in River Edge to announce a Commonsense Strategy to combat gun violence and ensure school safety. Read at WRNJ.
6. Tackling Supply Chain Issues -- Including Baby Formula.

I visited Port Newark with U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg to call for a new “Strategic Shipping Reserve” to move critical goods, proposed new “Ports that Perform” incentives, and toured the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill investments in our ports, Gateway Tunnel, roads, and bridges. 7. Qualified Stablecoins to Protect Consumers.

For crypto to thrive in the U.S instead of overseas, we have to increase certainty and provide the right guardrails. I introduced the Stablecoin Innovation & Protection Act to define qualified stablecoins. Read at The Block.
8. Making A Historic Investment in Infrastructure, Jobs, Broadband, Clean Water, and Clean Energy.

I’m excited to see real progress moving the Gateway Train Tunnel forward. I helped shape and pass the historic Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill so that critical projects like this would finally get completed. Read at NorthJersey.com.

9. Safeguarding Clean Water, Fighting Climate Change.

At Ridgewood Water, I announced my Clean Water Action Plan. Working with local leaders, I’ve clawed back $2.8 million to get lead and dangerous forever chemicals out of our children’s drinking water. Read at NorthJersey.com.

Despite the catastrophic setback of the recent SCOTUS ruling, I’ll keep fighting to combat climate change, transition to alternative energy, and protect our clean and clean water. Read at CNN.
10. Improving School Bus Safety.

I introduced bipartisan legislation – Miranda’s Law – in memory of Miranda Vargas, who was killed in the Paramus bus crash four years ago, to get three-point seat belts on school buses nationwide. Watch at CBS2. Read at NJ101.5.
11. Fighting Crime, Investing in Police and Firefighters.

On the heels of President Biden’s visit to Israel, I’m leading a bipartisan group in Congress to push for concrete steps to strengthen the U.S-Israel relationship, combat threats from Iran, and brief Congress on the progress made during the President’s visit. 15. Combating Hate and Antisemitism.
