Hi John.
It’s clear that a strong majority of Kansans, regardless of party, reject extremism and favor protecting women’s reproductive rights. Health care decisions should be between you and your doctor – not politicians.
Thankfully, access to reproductive health care is legal in Kansas for now. But some will keep relentlessly pushing to roll reproductive rights back – even in cases of rape and incest.
After the Supreme Court’s extreme decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and over 50 years of precedent, Congress needs to pass a new law to protect reproductive rights for the long-term. Please click below to begin taking my survey to share your thoughts >>

Politicians shouldn’t push their own divisive agendas regarding such a deeply personal decision.
That’s why I’m a strong supporter of the Women’s Health Protection Act. This bill would codify Roe v. Wade into law and protect a woman’s right to choose.
And after Supreme Court Justice Thomas suggested that other fundamental rights may also be in jeopardy, including access to birth control and the right to marry who you love, I’m also supporting bipartisan legislation to protect these rights too.
Your fundamental rights should be protected against government interference.

I know this is a deeply personal issue that can raise a lot of strong feelings. Regardless of where anyone stands, I know we can all start from a place of respect as we listen to each other.
But it’s clear we’re at an inflection point. We can choose the path of listening to each other and finding common ground whenever we can. Or we can go on the path of extremism and division.
I know which path I’m choosing. Whether we agree on everything or not, my job is to serve everyone – regardless of party. I’ll always work both parties to help move our country forward and stand up to the extremes across the political spectrum.
My warmest regards,
Sharice L. Davids Member of Congress
