Dear John xxxxxx,
Recently, New York City has become the epicenter for the monkeypox outbreak that has swept across the nation. My office has been monitoring this situation from the beginning and will continue to do so. I wanted to send this message to help clarify action that is being taken across levels of government and resources available.
Last week, I sent a letter to the NYC Department of Health highlighting the need for a more coordinated and organized response to the monkeypox outbreak. We will get through this, but we need to do it together.
