We are in the midst of a national moral crisis. Our current leaders take from our poorest and most vulnerable communities to pad the pockets of the wealthy, and they do not believe that all Americans should be able to put food on the table.

Now, President Trumps’ new rule is forcing hundreds of thousands of people off of SNAP. This cannot become the new normal. With critical food assistance under mortal threat, there has never been a more important time to fight back.

No American should ever worry about not having access to food, housing, or healthcare. Yet, our current leaders have repeatedly put the interests of millionaires and billionaires first. We need to bring into the economy the communities that were systematically left out.
