The news of the stunning landslide victory for abortion rights in Kansas couldn't come at a better time for Democrats across the country and right here in Oregon. This is both cause for a huge celebration and the perfect way to kick our own election into high gear.

As a very proud and beaming former Kansan and University of Kansas grad, I couldn't be more excited to see you all this weekend at the Democratic Party of Oregon's Wayne Morse Gala this Saturday! 

Joining us as our keynote speaker is the wonderful Congresswoman Nikema Williams, who, as Georgia's representative in the seat that the beloved Congressman John Lewis held for so many years, also knows a lot about giving a red state a new shiny coat of blue!
