John,
In just a couple of days, team Women’s March and I will be heading to Texas for our Women’s Convention. We’ll be traveling with over 200 delegations of feminists from 43+ states who are ready to do the critical work of skulking our base up to do the proactive, pro-abortion, pro-democracy, pro-woman work in communities across the country. And we’re covering the costs for hundreds of those activists who need it.
But right now, we don’t have the resources to meet the need. I’m asking you to chip in $5, $25, or $50 to help cover the costs of travel for even more fierce feminist activists to join us in Houston >>>
The Women’s Convention is not your average conference. This is a historic and unique opportunity for us to organize together, in person, to plan and strategize how to overcome the odds and expand the power of all women.
Let me explain: we are living in times that have challenges with no known solutions. This moment requires a leader-full movement, guided by principles of liberation, so that together, we can imagine and build the solutions our communities need to thrive.
That’s what we’re doing in Houston.
Our movement is history-defying. We’re organizing across generations, across demographics, and in communities often ignored by the political establishment. We are building coalitions capable of taking on the rich and powerful.
That’s why our Women’s Convention this month is so important. It’s our chance to bring new and old leaders together and build a path forward for our movement, especially in historically red states, where I have lived and worked for decades, where our work is needed most acutely. We’re going to Texas because that’s where the fight is — and because we will NEVER leave our sisters in red states behind. We can’t make real change unless we’re on the front lines.
Thank you,
Caitlin Breedlove
