John, we want to
share something we're really proud of.
During the last Texas Ethics Commission reporting period, teachers were
Beto's top contributors by occupation. And there's one reason for that —
instead of attacking teachers, Beto will be a governor who has their
backs.
It's time that we step up for our educators. [ [link removed] ]Please, if you're with us
in our movement to ensure world-class public schools in every community,
will you chip in $3 now to support Beto's campaign for
governor?
Under Greg Abbott, Texas teachers have been underpaid, undersupported, and
underappreciated for far too long. We're going to change that by
implementing bipartisan, commonsense solutions for education.
Here's what's in Beto's plan:
✅ Fully funding public schools
✅ Raising teacher pay to *at least* the national average
✅ Strengthening health and retirement benefits
✅ Ending the over-reliance on standardized testing
In contrast, Abbott's only plan for education seems to be defunding our
schools: taking our tax dollars out of public schools and sending them
away from our communities. With these constant attacks, it's no surprise
that 68% of teachers seriously considered leaving the profession in the
last year.
As governor, Beto will make sure our schools are fully funded and that our
hard-working teachers are paid what they deserve. But there's only one way
we can do that — by removing Abbott from power.

is on the road traveling across Texas to share our positive, unifying
vision with everyone he meets. Please, will you chip in right now to help
fund our Drive for Texas and ensure we have the resources to defeat Abbott
in November?
