Hi John,
Earlier this summer, our country’s top housing official visited Miami and called it the epicenter of the housing crisis in the United States.
Over the last year, rental prices in Miami have increased by 25 percent, and our community is being priced out. With demand far out-pacing supply, potential renters are being forced to compete against each other to find affordable housing opportunities.
This is a crisis, John, and it’s up to Florida’s lawmakers to find a solution.
For far too long, leaders have ignored this issue. And that’s why I’m running for State Senate. I want to deliver REAL long-term solutions and resources to help our community.
The opportunity for homeownership is dwindling, and renters are being gouged out of their homes. This crisis impacts working families, young professionals, first responders, and business owners who are losing their employees because they cannot afford to live where they work.
I will fight for solutions to alleviate the burden on our working families and help keep South Florida affordable for all who live here. And in order to do that, I need your help.
Your support is crucial to this fight, and every dollar counts. If you’re able, click here to chip in whatever you can to help me win this November.
