I’m Trudy Busch Valentine – a nurse, a mother, a lifelong learner, a proud Missourian, and, as of yesterday, the official Democratic nominee for Senate in Missouri. In a moment, I’m going to ask you to become a General Election Founding Donor to my campaign for U.S. Senate. But first, let me explain why I’m running and why your support today is so critical:

You see, I grew up watching my parents live out the American Dream. We had a lot of love and a lot of opportunities, and I never took any of that for granted. It’s what drove me to live a life of purpose and service to others.

I fulfilled my own dream and became a registered nurse, taking care of patients from all walks of life. Now, I’m running for the Senate as a continuation of my life of service – a way to help others on a bigger scale.

I’m ready to get to work for all Missouri families who are struggling to get by. You can count on me to do whatever it takes to lower the cost of basic necessities, expand access to affordable healthcare, advocate for our right to choose, and end the opioid epidemic. I’m ready to serve you in Washington because the people of this great state deserve a senator who is dedicated to making sure everyone is able to live out their American Dream.

But the truth is, Washington is broken, with leaders dividing rather than uniting us. There’s too much political gameplay and not enough compassion. To tackle the biggest problems facing Missourians, we need leadership that puts political games aside and puts people first – and that’s exactly what I’m ready to do as a U.S. Senator. 

I’m all in on securing a brighter future for Missourians, and I’ve made my own personal investments to power this campaign. But winning on Election Day is going to take a broad coalition of grassroots support. We have less than 100 days until Election Day, and I'm counting on help from supporters like you.
