Hi Friends,
Campaigning isn’t always easy, but the best part is meeting with people and learning what issues affect them and their families. The team and I especially enjoy our What’s Up Wednesday events that are an open forum for people to tell me “what’s up” in their communities.
That’s why today I’m holding a virtual What’s up Wednesday. Click here to tell me what issues you’re most concerned with >>
In the past few weeks, I’ve met some incredible people. I was recently talking to folks at the Village Inn about the Violence Against Women Act, the importance of a good public education, and making sure jobs are occupied by Alaskans. As I got up to leave Diane came over and asked if I was running for office. I said yes. She said, “I want to help, what can I do?” Now she’s one of our volunteers.
This is how our team is going to keep growing: conversation by conversation.

I held events in Homer and Soldotna, where I heard from folks struggling with the cost of health care, having trouble making ends meet even with 2-3 jobs, and wondering how we are going to deal with our climate crisis. These conversations motivate me every day.

As I continue to make my way across the state, I look forward to continuing listening, learning, and welcoming more to join our people-powered campaign. But if you can't make it out to one of our events, like What's Up Wednesdays, or just want to tell me what's on your mind today, click here >>
Thank you,
Alyse
