More than two dozen cruel laws were passed earlier this year, many in Southern states. Bills were passed that stigmatize LGBTQ+ kids by censoring inclusive curriculum, ban queer-themed books from libraries, exclude transgender students from participating in school sports, and even target transgender youth’s access to affirming healthcare.
Many of these laws took effect this summer, meaning that soon, LGBTQ+ youth in many states will be heading back to school grappling with discriminatory policies and the chilling effects they have on an overall school and community climate.
Together, we can help young people see that they are supported, that they are cared for, and that they are enough. Your messages will make a big difference. Please click here and take 1 minute to share your message of solidarity with LGBTQ+ youth.
