Dear Friend,

Would you believe us if we said there was a way to end sex trafficking and all exploitation? Or that the solution is actually a simple issue of supply and demand? We have to stop those who create the demand for the bodies of other human beings by buying sex.

Research from around the world has shown this is not only a possibilityit's working!

Learn more about how NCOSE is accomplishing our core objective to target sex buyers below:

Litigation and Legislative Policy

The world is waking up to this idea of targeting demand in order to stop trafficking and exploitation, and we’re seeing it through bills being passed that would hold sex buyers accountable, all while actively working to stop bad laws from passing that would decriminalize sex buying, pimping, and trafficking. You can help us accomplish this! Please take 30 SECONDS to send this quick email to your local elected officials, asking them to adopt policies that increase accountability for sex buyers.

Research

The NCOSE Research Institute is conducting, synthesizing, and sharing research, data, and anecdotal evidence to educate the public, movement leaders, and key individuals in government, corporate, and media on the need and ways to reduce sex buying behavior. Our latest flyer here shares evidence-based reasons why sex buyers must be stopped and recommendations on how to stop them.

Training

We know law enforcement and other leaders have a huge role to play in enacting our vision to target the demand for paid sex. NCOSE is working to train law enforcement officers, prosecutors, and community leaders on why and how to target and deter high frequency sex buyers since 25% of high frequency buyers drive 75% of the prostitution marketplace. Read about how California-based Operation Reclaim and Rebuild helps survivors of trafficking and focuses on demand and visit our comprehensive Demand Forum website that lists all the communities who are enacting anti-demand tactics across the country!

There are many ways to stop sex buyers, and we won’t rest until we’ve helped build a world where demand for commercial sex buying is addressed comprehensively, survivors are well-supported, and all people are free to live and love free from sexual abuse and exploitation.
