John, the people of Kansas just voted overwhelmingly to protect the right to an abortion in their state. Republicans, Democrats, and Independents came together to defend the freedom to choose because a huge majority of Americans — and Pennsylvanians — support reproductive rights and reject the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe. We can defend the freedom to choose in Pennsylvania this fall, just like they did in Kansas. But to do it, we’ve got to win this race. The freedom to choose is at stake this fall — we know we have that power and the people on our side to defend it, now let’s get to work. Will you rush a donation today to support this pro-choice campaign and help ensure that abortion remains safe, legal, and accessible here? I will always be a pro-choice Governor — and I will fight every day to defend your freedoms. Let me tell you why. As the People’s Attorney General, I took on the Trump Administration in federal court to protect access to contraception, won an injunction against the “gag rule,” and filed an amicus brief in support of the U.S. Department of Justice’s challenge to Texas’ six-week abortion ban. I’ve never shied away from my pro-choice stances or from defending the right to abortion in Pennsylvania. I can promise you that I will continue to protect a woman’s right to choose. My opponent, Doug Mastriano, can’t make that promise. Instead, he’s promised to ban all abortion with no exceptions, even in the case of rape, incest, or when the life of the mother is at risk as Governor. He even wants to throw doctors who perform abortions in jail. I’m not exaggerating when I say that if he becomes our next Governor, abortion would not be legal. That’s why it’s so important we win this competitive election — because the future of abortion is at stake. We’re up against an anti-abortion extremist in this race, and so I need your support today. Yesterday’s vote to keep abortion legal in Kansas is good news, John — now it’s up to us to keep the momentum going. Thanks, Josh Shapiro
