Cory Gardner calls it a “total circus.” I call it a Constitutional obligation.
Impeachment is no cause for joy, but this President has left Congress with no other choice.
If I were in the Senate, I would vote to convict Donald Trump and remove him from office. Gardner endorsed him for reelection.
That’s one of the differences not only between Cory Gardner and me but also among the candidates for the Democratic nomination. At a Senate forum in Montrose, all but one of us immediately agreed that Trump had committed an impeachable offense. John Hickenlooper said “we don’t know.”
We do know, of course. Donald Trump has acknowledged as much on live TV: inviting foreign leaders to investigate a political rival and bragging about his efforts to obstruct justice.
We need leaders willing to stand up to this administration—or any other—when it violates the Constitution.
Cory Gardner won’t do that. Let’s replace him with a senator who will.
We can win this race and defeat Cory Gardner, but only with your support. Will you help us meet our year-end goal by chipping in $5 or more right now?
