It’s no secret that we here at the Iowa Senate Democrats are passionate about electing Democrats at all levels of government – especially the state legislature.

In that spirit, we’re thrilled to be hosting an event with a fellow State Senate Democrat: Senator Mallory McMorrow, running for re-election in Michigan’s newly-drawn 8th Senate District. The event is Saturday, August 13th in West Des Moines – will we see you there?

Senator McMorrow recently made national headlines after she was attacked by a far-right extremist for defending the LGBTQ+ community. She is widely recognized as a fierce advocate for her constituents and we are thrilled to have her in Iowa.

We are looking forward to connecting with folks like you who understand that protecting basic rights – like abortion access, good public schools, and more – starts with strong, Democratic-majority state legislatures.
