Every other year, the Democratic Party of Oregon selects an outstanding Democrat who has done exemplary work in organizing and activism in communities in rural Oregon. Organizing in Rural Communities, like so many of our communities, takes continued and sustained investment in building real relationships and connecting with voters in authentic ways.
For years, Jamie has partnered with County Democratic Parties, partner organizations, and has built a coalition that not only helped her win her May 2022 Primary, but also has helped in previous elections to flip school board races, city council seats, and other down-ballot elections in Central, Eastern, and Southern Oregon communities that many Democrats thought weren't "winnable".
