Save displaced families in Yemen from famine

Dear John,

Have you experienced empty shelves and huge price rises while shopping for food? You’re not alone. The war in Ukraine and extreme climate events are creating massive food shortages and rising prices around the world and leaving the most vulnerable struggling to find enough to eat each day.

In Yemen, displaced mother Tuhfaa worries constantly about how she will feed her one-year-old daughter, Amani. She’s already suffered food shortages due to COVID-19, economic instability and seven years of conflict. But now, the ripple effects of the crisis in Ukraine are making life much harder for Tuhfaa and 17.4 million Yemenis already struggling with hunger. Despite the recent truce agreement between warrying parties in Yemen, the needs are massive.

Please give today to help us protect vulnerable families like Tuhfaa’s.

Yemen is one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises and millions are on the brink of famine. UNHCR is on the ground delivering life-saving support to millions of displaced Yemenis, and we’ve seen first-hand the difference generous donors like you can have. In 2021 alone, we were able to distribute cash assistance to over 1 million displaced Yemeni people like Tuhfaa — providing families with the vital lifeline they need to buy food, fuel for cooking and other basic necessities.

Your actions can bring hope to the people living through one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises. Instead of having to worry where their next meal is coming from, mothers can focus on supporting their families.

Make your gift today, John, so mothers like Tuhfaa can provide their families with the food and essentials they need to survive.

With your donation, UNHCR can continue to provide support and assistance to those who need it most.

Thank you again for your continued dedication and support,
