Jack, North Carolina is a major battleground state this November. Some of that is good news, but a lot of it is scary news that we must do something about.
Good news? We have a strong Democrat running for Senate, who can become the first Black senator from North Carolina. Her election may determine which party runs the U.S. Senate.
Bad news? North Carolina Republicans have pushed the most extreme anti-abortion laws in the country—and are asking the U.S. Supreme Court to give them the power to overturn the 2024 presidential election, regardless of what the voters want. They are out of control.
North Carolina is not a red state—it is a rigged state. And after many recent close calls where extreme Republicans have eked through, we cannot afford to run campaigns the way we have in the past. That's why we need to trust local groups who know how to get out the vote.
Chip in $1 to each of these 8 North Carolina community groups who are building up a progressive infrastructure at the local level. It's a diverse slate of organizations who work with frontline communities, and know how to get out the vote.

At Daily Kos, we are dedicated to building progressive infrastructure in battleground states by helping groups who have strong relationships with infrequent voters and help engage them in the democratic process. And we have identified eight groups in North Carolina who are doing the hard work to educate their communities, register them to vote and get them to the polls.
Not long ago, Georgia was a reliably Republican state. But after years of investing in local grassroots organizations who work with frontline communities, Georgia gave Joe Biden his electoral victory and sent two Democrats to the U.S. Senate. North Carolina can be next, but it will require a lot of hard work and letting local groups take the lead in mobilizing voters.
That's why the money you send today will be so important, for this November and beyond. These groups are invested for the long haul, and so are we.
Chip in $1 today to each of these eight excellent grassroots organizations in North Carolina who are doing the hard work of organizing their communities.
