Two years ago, at the height of the pandemic, to protest the dangerous policies of “Ron DeathSantis,” I roamed Florida’s beaches urging folks to protect themselves — dressed as the Grim Reaper.

The other day, our campaign team meeting turned to the subject, as it often does, of how Floridians are getting killed financially. It was decided: it’s time to take the Grim Reaper on tour again.

Starting this afternoon in Tallahassee, the cloak comes out of retirement to tell Floridians that we do not have to settle for this grim lack of leadership. While Ron DeSantis and Ashley Moody are doing nothing to ease rising housing costs, costs at the pump, utility rates, or property and homeowner’s insurance rates, there are leaders who understand what hardworking families are going through and will do something about it — that’s why I’m running for attorney general, to hold them accountable.
