Were you keeping up with yesterday’s primaries? We certainly were!

For the absolutely spectacular news: Kansas won a huge victory for abortion rights yesterday, by voting “NO” to the referenda that would’ve given their state legislature free reign to restrict abortion. The vote was overwhelming, sitting at 59-41 with tremendous turnout – more than double the last gubernatorial election in Kansas!

That’s telling us, today, that this country is overwhelmingly pro-choice, even in states like Kansas that have historically been red. Their legislature does NOT represent who they are, and they proved it yesterday at the ballots. Reproductive rights in this country will not fall – we, as Americans will make sure it doesn’t.

We’re so glad to know that when push comes to shove, we can count on you. Even red states like Kansas can’t stand our collective strength. Come November, we’re SURE that we can create a blue wave and make our government work for the people. We can strike them where it hurts and take away their decades-long control over America’s Heartland. It’s possible – we just need to work for it.

But the GOP is still trying to usurp power in the government. They’re still there, striking down crucial legislation and asserting their influence in D.C. They’ve peddled out a clown show of candidates, but some of those candidates are still set to be on the ballot this November. For example: the Trump-backed Blake Masters, an open racist and election denialist. They’re going to try and steal this country this November, and we can’t let them – because not only are they a threat to our democracy, but they are a threat to our very existence.

No Dem Left Behind is doing critical work to make sure this doesn’t happen. We’re connecting with the rural and working-class people of this country, finding and unifying blue voters in red states to finally turn them blue. For too long, these folks have been suppressed by the GOP – we’re giving them a voice again, a chance to change America for the better.
