It's our 82nd anniversary and we're thrilled to be
celebrating with you. Let's reflect on some of what the American
Diabetes Association® has accomplished in the last year:
Research In June, we held the 82nd Scientific Sessions. This
world-class gathering, which featured nearly 900 presentations,
brought together top researchers to engage in science and present
groundbreaking research.
Advocacy Our advocacy team worked with the Centers for Medicare &
Medicaid Services (CMS) to permanently remove the requirement to check
your blood glucose (blood sugar) four times a day to be qualified for
coverage of a continuous glucose monitor (CGM). Access to diabetes
technology with proven improved outcomes is critical. Removing this
barrier was a huge win for the diabetes community!
Programs One of our oldest programs, ADA Camps, are back in person
this year! We look forward to hosting more than 6,000 campers to come
together and share a week of summer fun-making memories that
last a lifetime. Campers will socialize with other kids their age who
were going through the same experience as them while learning to
manage their diabetes independently, stay active, and eat healthily.
You made all this possible, and we rely on you to keep this train
rolling. Right now, when you make a tax-deductible donation to the
ADA, the value of your donation will DOUBLE.

P.S. Our match campaign will last until the end of August or once we
reach our campaign total of $82,000, in honor of 82 years dedicated to
fighting diabetes.
