John,

Last weekend, Chicago hosted Lollapalooza, one of America's largest and most iconic festivals, for the seventeenth year in a row. Since AngelouEconomics first started tracking the festival's economic impact in 2010, Lollapalooza has brought in nearly $2 billion for our economy — including $305.1 million in 2021 alone.

On Sunday, between performances by The Kid Laroi and J-Hope, I took to the stage to announce that Chicago will be the host of Lollapalooza for at least TEN MORE YEARS!

That's ten more years of unparalleled food, arts, and culture for residents and tourists. More than that, it's ten years of BILLIONS of dollars for Chicago's economy. And our new agreement GUARANTEES millions of dollars for our public schools and parks.

I'm going to keep bringing home deals that benefit ALL of Chicago, especially our communities that have been neglected for too long. Will you make sure we can keep making an impact by chipping in a little to my reelection campaign?

Thank you!

— Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot
