John,
Last week, legislation called the PACT Act was blocked by Senate Republicans. The bill helps by funding critical treatments for veterans who were exposed to toxic burn pits in Iraq and Afghanistan. After severe public backlash, the Senate finally passed the bill this evening.
When the bill went through the House in March, 34 Republicans joined all 222 Democrats to pass this critically needed veterans health bill. Ken Buck was not among those who supported the bill. It should go without saying, but no amount of pork barrel spending is worth betraying the men and women who answered the call to duty when their Nation was at War.
My incumbent spouts overheated rhetoric and xenophobic idiocy on right-wing media and his voting record is an embarrassment and a betrayal of our service members—including his own son. At a certain point as a leader you must set your partisanship aside and do what is best for the country, our citizens and our combat veterans.
Buck lacks the courage to do what is right even when veterans will die because of his corruption.

As a retired Marine Corps officer and Iraq War veteran, this is personal for me. A friend of mine who was exposed to burn pits in Iraq is now recovering from thyroid cancer. In my multiple combat deployments, nearly everyone in the forward deployed units I served in were exposed to burn pits. We stayed for months in barracks that were extremely close to these toxic burns. This already is, and will continue to be a grim and devastating struggle for huge numbers of United States service members and veterans.
Our combat veterans and every single person in our district deserves a Representative who place the needs of his constituents and American veterans before his own. Cynics like Ken Buck have abandoned our 9/11 first responders, our combat veterans, and our rural communities to “stick it to Biden” and get on Fox Noise for an hour.
Our campaign is connecting with voters in every corner of this huge rural district, and is doing the work that Ken will never do.
I need your help to power these efforts with a contribution to my campaign, if you can. We can end Buck's corrupt tenure and restore the people’s trust and confidence in the U.S. House! ([link removed])
