WHAT’S HAPPENING: We need your help to raise $6,000 by August 12 in the ‘A Community Thrives’ Challenge (ACT). With your help, our immigrant and refugee neighbors will be able to step out and thrive.
WHY THIS MATTERS:
NVFS’ Multicultural Center (MC) serves more than 4,500 immigrants and refugees annually. Last year, 97% were survivors of trauma, 88% had low-income, and more than 70% were women and children. Arriving here, many face poverty, isolation, fear of deportation, and so much more.
The MC is the only local provider of affordable, culturally competent, and trauma-informed services.
And your support today will help:
• a child who was trafficked and abused recover and thrive
• a mother and survivor of domestic violence live safely and with dignity
• a survivor understand that they are not defined by their past trauma
