One of our long-time supporters has pledged to match the first $2.5 million donated by members like you.
That gives you and your fellow members a chance to unlock an extra $5 million to push for deep cuts in climate pollution and defend our environmental protections in 2020.
7,055 members have already had their gifts matched, contributing a combined total of nearly $950,000 and putting us 37.9% of the way to our $2.5 million goal.
Since 2016, Americans have demonstrated their collective power by making small-scale grassroots donations at record levels. More than one-third of the gifts we’ve received so far have been for $35 or less — and we wouldn’t have gotten this far without their generous support.
Will you keep the momentum going by becoming #7,056 to make your year-end gift?

Thanks to you, our legal team has filed over 25 (and counting!) lawsuits against the Trump administration’s reckless attacks on the environmental protections that keep our air, water and families safe and healthy.
So far, we’ve won 80% of the cases. But as the end of President Trump’s term approaches — and with it, the possibility this could be his administration’s last year in power — they’re working harder than ever to erode our environmental protections. Some of our most critical court battles right now include:
* Suing the Trump administration over its decision to roll back the Clean Power Plan, which created our nation’s first-ever limits on climate pollution from existing power plants and was projected to save up to 4,500 lives every year — and replace it with a rule that could even increase pollution in many states.
* Defending states' authority to carry out more protective clean car standards in the wake of an attempt by the Trump administration to revoke their long-standing, bipartisan authority.
* Standing ready to challenge an imminent threat to clean air standards that limit emissions of mercury, arsenic and other toxic air pollution from coal-fired plants, a rollback we’re expecting the Trump administration to formalize before the year ends.
But we did more than just play defense — we kept making progress in our goal to drive down climate pollution. With your donations and advocacy supporting our work, we:
* Collaborated with BP to advance new digital technology to reduce methane emissions from the global oil and gas supply chain — the fastest and most cost-effective way to slow the rate of warming we’re already living through.
* Organized CEOs of some of the world’s most influential companies to call for climate action via our CEO Climate Dialogue, through which companies like BP, Ford Motor Company and Citi have invested in the Americans for Carbon Dividends initiative and publicly advocated for Congress to put a price on carbon.
* Launched ads in 47 key Congressional districts to promote a national goal of getting to zero net pollution across the U.S. economy by 2050, including a massive advertising takeover of digital billboards, storefronts, bus shelters and taxi tops in New York City during U.N. Climate Week.
* Helped China prepare a national test run of their carbon trading market, starting with the power sector. Their economy-wide emissions trading system, first announced in 2016, is set to go live nationwide in 2020 and will likely become the world’s largest carbon market.
Your year-end gift will go three times as far to build on this progress in 2020, thanks to a $2-for-$1 match that triples your impact: [link removed]
