I’ll be honest: I’m angry, John.

Last month, the House passed my bill, the PACT Act, with bipartisan support, to give urgently-needed care to veterans who were exposed to toxic burn pits during their service.

But last week, the PACT Act died on the Senate floor, in an apparent act of retaliation as Republicans would rather obstruct progress than do the right thing.

And even worse, three of the senators who are blocking the PACT Act are veterans themselves.

As a twenty-year Navy veteran, I cannot stand by and watch the health of America’s veterans be used as yet another bargaining chip in these callous political games.
