We’ve heard it before.

George H.W. Bush told us, “Read my lips: No new taxes!”

Barack Obama told us, “You can keep your doctor.”

One of Joe Biden’s biggest campaign themes was he would never support raising taxes on low-income and middle-class Americans.

Specifically, he promised he would not raise taxes on Americans who make less than $400,000 a year.

He’s still trying to tell us that today.

Now we have proof this was and is still untrue.

Biden is pushing to raise taxes on most people, including every low-income and middle-class taxpayer.

Under the Democrats’ inflation bill – falsely called the “Inflation Reduction Act” – the vast majority of Americans will pay more in taxes, as well as have to deal with out-of-control inflation.

And Senators Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Dick Durbin (D-IL) are busy whipping the votes to pass it right now.

Of course, Biden insisted last week "this bill will not raise taxes on anyone making less than $400,000 a year."

But the Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) – a nonpartisan congressional staff committee whose job is to accurately analyze the tax impacts of proposed legislation – reports this is completely false.

According to the JCT, the taxpayers who would see the largest tax increases, incredibly, would be people making $10,000 per year – the poorest working people.

Imagine it! After all the rhetoric about “sticking it to the rich,” they’re actually going to raise taxes on our poorest workers the most.

But it’s not only low-income earners who will suffer. Tax revenue from those making $100,000 per year or less would increase by $5.8 billion in 2023, the JCT reported, with those making between $20,000-30,000 getting a 1% tax increase.

And there’s more … much more.

There’s a $25 billion crude oil tax in the bill. That will hit every American. It will raise the price of gas and raise energy costs. It’s a regressive tax that will hit low-income people the hardest.

Meanwhile, the same bill would give the wealthy big tax credits to buy expensive new electric vehicles. That’s right: a $7,500 tax credit for those who buy an electric car with a price tag of up to $55,000. Just how is that going to help the average American?

And all of this is on top of raising taxes for the much-reviled “corporations.”

They always call them “corporations” to evoke images of big companies and conceal the fact these taxes hit small businesses HARD.

It’s also worth pointing out taxing large companies hurts the economy, too – it stifles investment, reduces the market, and raises costs, therefore raising prices.

And the Inflation Act includes billions in additional funding for the IRS!

These new powers will be used against middle-class taxpayers and small businesses that cannot afford legions of tax accountants and attorneys.

The bill also extends the “temporary” increase in Obamacare subsidies passed as part of covid relief. This will further increase health care prices.

Finally, there’s billions and billions spent on green energy and fighting “climate change,” which means promoting inefficient, expensive energy sources, attacking affordable energy, and funding special-interest deals.

All of this contributes to the Hidden Tax: inflation, the very thing the bill pretends it will fight!

But there is hope we can stop this deceptive, dishonest, dangerous bill.

Because they have a hard time defending the FACT it is going to raise taxes for the huge majority of Americans.

That’s authoritatively confirmed by the Joint Committee on Taxation.

Big Government advocates are hoping the media will be able to conceal the truth from the public: the Democrats are breaking a HUGE Biden campaign promise and central talking point.

That’s why it’s so critical you click here to send your representative and senators your Directive to let them know you aren’t fooled and strenuously OPPOSE their across-the board tax hikes.

Normally Republicans could stop a bill like this because of the Democrats’ slim majority. But this bill falls under “reconciliation” which means the Big Government folks don’t need Republican support as long as they don’t have any defectors.

But if enough patriots take action – they’ll see the political danger they’re putting themselves in.

Some Democrats are in very tough races for re-election, and in the midst of the economic turmoil their constituents are facing, it will be a hard sell to run on raising taxes on those who are hurting the most. . .

. . . but if you don’t call them out, they’ll feel safe to cast their vote for this terrible bill.

And if your legislators are Republicans, they need to know that We, the People, are watching the situation closely.
