The shooter in Uvalde used an AR-15. And in Highland Park. And in Las Vegas. And in Parkland. And in Sandy Hook.

These are weapons of war — and they make mass shootings six times more deadly — but they’re usually obtained legally. It’s unconscionable, and last week, we took action to end it. Now it’s the Senate’s turn to act: Add your name to demand they pass the ban on assault rifles. [[link removed]]

This measure is too late for students and teachers and church goers and community members who’ve been lost since the last ban expired nearly twenty years ago. It can’t bring them back, but it will save lives.

So in honor of the families that have been torn apart, I voted to ban assault rifles, and now I’m demanding the Senate do the same.
