The Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxins Act, or PACT Act, expands access to medical care for millions of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans exposed to toxic chemicals while serving our country. Exposure to smoke from military burn pits has been attributed to a wide range of severe health problems many of these veterans have faced -- including high rates of cancer and respiratory illnesses.
Last week 25 Senate Republicans who had previously supported this bill switched their votes at the last minute and voted to stop this bipartisan legislation. But the good news is that in just a few hours they will have a second chance to do the right thing.
The Senate will vote again TONIGHT to pass the PACT Act. And veterans and their families, and others across the country, will be watching.

Every day that goes by without passage of this legislation is a day veterans are not getting the care that they need and deserve.
Thank you for speaking out.
