Parents absolutely have the right to speak at school board meetings and it is unthinkable that the Justice Department would make this announcement—the purpose of which appears to be to intimidate parents into silence. But we cannot let that happen; government-run schools are out of control. Now, more than ever, it is imperative that parents, not activist bureaucrats in Washington, D.C., shape what kids are taught in school.
