Pelosi’s trip to Taiwan will stoke Xi’s paranoia

Responding to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan on Tuesday, China announced live fire drills surrounding Taiwan, to be held from Thursday to Saturday. The China-declared exclusion areas appear to include Taiwan's territorial waters. I suspect that the People's Liberation Army will at least launch weapons into these waters.
