John,

Many families are getting ready for their kids to return to school in the coming weeks, which means buying new clothing and school supplies.

The annual Arkansas sales tax holiday weekend can bring some relief to families buying school supplies. This year, the tax holiday will begin at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, and will continue until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7.

This sales tax holiday is a temporary period when state and local sales taxes are not collected or paid to purchase certain products.

You can read more about Arkansas’s 2022 Sales Tax Holiday here ([link removed] ) .

Be sure to head to your local store starting Saturday, Aug. 6, to stock up on all the clothing and supplies your child needs to thrive in the upcoming school year!

In Service,

Senator John Boozman
