The Williams Institute and the TransLatin@ Coalition are excited to announce the return of our UniTy event in person in Los Angeles on September 15, 2022, at 6:30 pm. UniTy was created to support the health, well-being, and rights of the transgender community. The event helps raise money for research that policymakers can use to allocate resources and enact laws that impact transgender communities.
This year, UniTy will raise money for a groundbreaking survey on transgender people in Los Angeles County that will provide information about their health, housing, economic, and employment status and experiences of discrimination and harassment, resilience, and well-being.
The reception will honor Luckie Alexander Fuller, Founder and Executive Director of Invisible Men, Diana Feliz Oliva, Associate Director of Advocacy & Community Engagement at Gilead Sciences, and TransLatin@ Coalition's Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Maria Roman-Taylorson, for their work protecting the rights of transgender communities.
