Dear John,
When I started my caregiving journey in 2013, I had to navigate impossible systems all on my own. I didn’t know where to turn for support or what I could do to change the frayed patchwork of care in our nation.
It wasn’t until I joined the inaugural Care Fellow class in 2019 that I realized I wasn’t alone at all — my experience was shared by millions of caregivers across the country. Three years later, I’m on staff at Caring Across Generations, and have the honor of working to support our new cohort of fellows. The most rewarding part of my job has to be watching Fellows harness their personal power to call for investments in care.
Today, I’m asking you to chip in so we can continue to build programs that provide community, support, and training to caregivers, people with disabilities, and older adults across the nation.
Our Care Fellows represent some of the most dedicated care activists in the Caring Across Generations network. They’re changing the way caregiving is seen, valued, and supported in the United States.
Building a network of caregiver advocates has never been more important. Over two years into the pandemic, people across the nation have realized the need for care and know that our current systems aren’t up to the task. Now’s the time to build a deep bench of activists who can advocate directly for the state and federal care policies.
This year, we’re running our national fellowship as well as three state-specific programs.
We are working to build and sustain this program so that we can continue to invest in the people who know care best — our Care Fellows — and equip them with the tools to advocate for what they need and change the face of care in this country.
Please help us reach our goal with a gift of $10 today.
With Care,
Aisha Adkins, Constituency Organizer
