2022 Virtual Creative Classroom Symposium: The Transformative Power of Teaching Artists

Are you interested in knowing the difference a teaching artist can make in the classroom? Would you like to explore what opportunities are available as a teaching artist in your community? In this workshop you will have the chance to:

  • Learn about the impact teaching artists are having in the world of arts education nationally.
  • Be inspired by other teaching artists and the creative programming they are developing.

Our Speakers:

Jeannine Otis has worked extensively as an educational consultant/teaching artist for arts-in-education programming including: The Department of Cultural Affairs, The Staten Island Museum, SUNDOG Theater, ENACT, The Creative Arts Team at NYU, Marymount College, The Universal Temple of the Arts, Music for Many, Arts Horizons, in Japan and Austria and it continues. Jeannine was the Artistic Director for Safari East Cultural Productions for over two decades with legendary Bassist Vishnu Wood. Jeannine has a BA from Wellesley College and an MA/Teaching Fellow from Emerson College.
