I was just interviewed on Morning Joe, where I talked about the importance of passing the PACT Act, and how Republicans are currently blocking veterans’ health care for their own political interest.
Our veterans and their families cannot afford to wait any longer. Some are even camping out on the steps of the U.S. Capitol to demand immediate action.
But they shouldn’t need to go to these lengths to receive the health care and benefits they earned by serving their country.
Health care delayed for a veteran is health care denied for a veteran so my Republican colleagues need to hold up their end of the bargain and pass this legislation that they already voted in favor of.
I’m working as hard as I can to work with veterans to ensure my colleagues understand what is at stake. We need to keep the pressure up and I’ll continue having conversations with anyone who will talk to me, and elevating the voices of veterans and their families who so desperately need this care.
But I could use your help, folks. Will you add your name to my petition to show these Republican Senators that we’re tired of their political games, and it’s time for them to do the right thing and pass the PACT Act this week?
