Bilborough’s Big Spring Clean!
big spring clean

*Held on 25 May, the young people of Strelley taught us older ones a big lesson! A massive big thanks to all the services who work tirelessly to make our streets clean. In particular, to the pupils and teaching staff from Djanogly Strelley Academy who came out and really made a great difference. *

*A final thought. It would be rather nice if people respected their community and didn’t drop litter in the first place. *

Bilborough’s Programme for Street Improvement

We have just agreed a £630,700 programme for improving some of the pavements and roads in Bilborough. This is money which is ring fenced for highway work and cannot be spent on anything else.

It sounds a lot but given the amount of work needed it is a drop in the ocean, nevertheless welcome. All work is done according to a technical assessment.

Some of the roads on the list are Bracebridge Drive, Burnside Green, Melbury Road, St Martin’s Road and Stagsden Crescent. We are also setting money aside for tree work and public bin replacement.
