Hi John,

My name is Emily, an organizer with 350 US. I’m writing to you today to
give you an update on our Fossil Free Federal Reserve work.

We are proud of the work that our movement has done to get climate
champions Phillip Jefferson, Lisa Cook, and Lael Brainard confirmed to the
Federal Reserve. We advocated for these candidates because we believe in
their ability to steer the Fed in a new direction that will prioritize
people over profits and combat the climate crisis.

But we still need to see decisive action from the Fed to usher in a
fossil-free era - including requirements for climate stress tests for all
investments, support for green lending facilities, and incentives for
sustainable investments in communities that need it the most.

That’s why from August 25 to 27, we’ll be showing up at the Fed's largest
annual get-together — the annual Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium in
Grand Tetons National Park, Wyoming — to remind them that we're still
watching.

We’re looking forward to showing up to it, but we’re going to need your
help in the coming weeks to continue to build the pressure. That’s why
today, I’m reaching out to see how you might be willing to help support
our mobilization in Wyoming.

[ [link removed] ]John, will you
take a quick survey to share how you are willing to support the
mobilization in the coming weeks? Some sample actions are mentioned below!

[ [link removed] ]What actions are you willing to take to support the Action Jackson
mobilization?

[ [link removed] ]1) Share your story - We’re asking people to share their experience of
climate change and climate impacts so we can show the Fed how important it
is. Will you share yours?

[ [link removed] ]2) Write to the Chair of the Fed Board or your local Fed

[ [link removed] ]3) Call your local/national Fed

[ [link removed] ]4) Write a letter to the editor of a local newspaper (we’ll prepare
talking points for you!)

John, let me
tell you why this mobilization in the Grand Tetons is so important to me.
I grew up in Idaho and have lived all over the Midwest, and I have a deep
love and appreciation for the beauty of the US’s ecosystems and lands.

I've also seen first-hand how the climate crisis is impacting people and
environments throughout the US, and how the whole world is suffering.

I've always identified as an environmentalist, but I first got my start as
a climate activist as a volunteer, via our local campaign to get Chase
Bank to stop funding fossil fuel activities. When I heard that 350 was
launching its Fossil Free Federal Reserve Campaign, I was so excited to
leave my corporate job and join a group of passionate people working to
get the Fed to end fossil fuel financing in the US.

I'm so excited to join other members of this campaign in Jackson, WY. This
is a critical gathering of economists, federal bank CEOs, chairmen, and
board members, who are making decisions about U.S. financial flows — and
could lead the Fed to take action on the climate crisis.

We're right there by some of the US's most iconic landscapes, and we have
the chance to use this amazing backdrop to tell officials from the Fed and
central bankers from around the world: We expect an end to fossil fuel
financing!

But we need your input on this work. [ [link removed] ]Will you take our survey today and
share how you are willing to take action to demand a Fossil Free Fed?

In solidarity,

Emily Park
Fossil Free Federal Reserve organizer
