John, Imagine winning the presidency. But losing. That wasn't a misprint. It's 2024, we turn out, vote Democratic to reject the GOP coup, fored birth, rapist rights, AR-15s for 15 yr olds and tax increases on 98% of us for a new personal-jet-tax loophole. We WIN a huge electoral majority. State legislatures around the country, however, disagree. GOP state legislators overrule OUR overwhelming vote for Democrats and send electoral slates to Washington, supporting Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis or, hell, Kid Rock for that matter. Can you please join me, Stacey Abrams, Michelle Obama and other concerned Democrats in doing all we can to "keep it," by supporting Andy’s Fight right now with a donation of $2, $5, $10 or whatever you can afford? This is not fiction. I wish it were. The same Supreme Court that forced a traumatized 10-year old girl to travel so she wouldn't have to carry a rapist's child will hear a case, Moore v Harper in only two months. It will likely end with their declaring state legislative supremacy. Authoritarian to its core, this would mean the will of gerrymandered Republican state legislatures can decide which electoral votes count and which don't, no matter for whom we voted. It is pure insanity. And it absolutely could happen. This is why even though it's not as sexy nor as covered on cable news, WE MUST win control of as many state legislatures as possible. And it's why I'm so thoroughly supporting Andy's Fight, a new SuperPAC launched by Andy Parker, which will target key Republican seats---including state legislative ones--to ensure we win majorities in as many state legislatures as humanly possible in November |
