At this pivotal moment in our nation’s history, we need all-hands-on-deck in the fight to make sure women can make their own health care decisions.

I have always strongly believed that decisions about pregnancy and parenting should be between a woman and her doctor–and no one else. I have stood up to defend this right since I was first elected. The Washington Post recently referred to me as “the single most effective Democratic combatant against Republican attempts to restrict abortion” – and that’s a distinction I’ll gladly keep fighting to live up to.

For the first time in a generation, Roe v. Wade is not the law of the land and it will soon be illegal in states across the country for women to make their own decisions about their bodies and their futures.
