Happy Monday, John,
It's been a long time since some of us have connected in person, so we're planning lots of social events and networking opportunities to help you connect, unwind and have fun while you're in Pittsburgh.
• On Thursday night (from 9pm until late), join us for what’s become an annual tradition: karaoke at Netroots Nation! Whether you can’t hold a tune or have ambitions to be on The Voice, we want you on that stage. Thanks to our sponsor ActBlue, drink tickets and snacks will be provided. It's all happening at The Standard (947 Penn Ave.), just a short walk from the convention center.
• On Friday starting at 5:30pm, unload all of your random knowledge at our annual Pub Quiz, sponsored by Mobile Commons. You’ll form teams of up to 10 (if you don't have a team, we can help) to answer trivia questions and win prizes and bragging rights.
• Not into trivia? Pop into one of our Friday happy hours (starting at 5:30pm) hosted by Civic Eagle (Convention Center rooftop) and Moveon (3rd floor concourse, outside Room 323).
• After the fun wraps up at the Convention Center, Daily Kos and Action Network are teaming up to host a huge Friday night party complete with funk band, food trucks, drinks and dancing! The festivities will take place at Stage AE (400 N Shore Dr) starting at 7:30pm and going until late. You won't want to miss this bash!
Other special events you'll want to check out throughout the weekend:
• Feminist Buzzkills Live! with Lizz Winstead
• Yoga and meditation sessions
• Progressive Storytime for the kids
You can get more details including the timing and location of all our special events here.
It's going to be a great time to connect and have some fun with folks from across the country and around the movement. Still on the fence or don’t have your ticket yet? Click here to register now.
See you there!
Mary Rickles
