Dear John,
I recently sent you an e-mail asking you to become a *2019 CAGW CHARTER MEMBER [ [link removed] ]*, but I haven't heard back from you.
Your personal involvement in our work fighting for taxpayers – through your participation in our Taxpayer Action Alert campaigns, surveys, and polls – and your financial support truly do go hand in hand.
[ [link removed] ]Thanks to the clout and influence our Charter Members give us in Washington, CAGW continues to score pivotal victories for you and all taxpayers.
For example, as I wrote to you previously, the Army heeded our longstanding call that the multibillion-dollar contract to upgrade its primary intelligence-gathering software system be opened up to non-traditional bidders in order to reduce costs and improve efficiency. As a result, after a fair and open competition, the Army has for the first time ever chosen a non-defense contractor to lead one of its programs.
This is a groundbreaking achievement in CAGW's long drive to break up the monopolistic hold politically-connected, Establishment defense contractors have on Pentagon procurement, which results in lengthy project delays and skyrocketing costs for taxpayers.
John, this victory over business as usual in Washington would not have been possible without the steadfast support of our Charter Members, and that's why I hope you will join them by becoming a *2019 CAGW CHARTER MEMBER today [ [link removed] ]*.
In the second half of this year, we must be ready at a moment's notice to publicize the cost of each and every new Socialist policy proposal put forth by the Far Left in Congress so that we can stop these wasteful and absolutely unaffordable ideas from gaining traction.
At the same time, we must continue our nose-to-the-grindstone work of identifying specific examples of government waste and putting our recommendations for spending cuts in the hands of key decision-makers in the Trump Administration and our allies in Congress.
Unlike many of the big-government proponents, CAGW has never received a penny of government funds. Our ability to fight and win battles against the entrenched special interests that benefit from the wasteful Washington status quo depends on the backing we receive from concerned taxpayers like you.
John, please *become a 2019 CAGW CHARTER MEMBER today [ [link removed] ]* with your largest possible membership contribution of *$10.00* [ [link removed] ], *$15.00* [ [link removed] ], *$25.00 [ [link removed] ]*, *$35.00 [ [link removed] ]*, or *more* [ [link removed] ]. "Thank you!"
Sincerely,
Thomas A. Schatz
President
P.S. John, I urge you to expand your partnership with us by becoming a *2019 CAGW CHARTER MEMBER [ [link removed] ]* today. Your support really can make a significant difference in the results we can achieve and how effective we can be in the second half of 2019!
