CBS NEWS ALERT: 17 House Democrats arrested at abortion rights rally
John, we’re so proud of our House Democrats.
After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, they jumped into action to defend reproductive freedoms:
-- They voted to codify Roe v. Wade into law, even as EVERY House Republican voted against it.
-- They fought to protect patients crossing state lines to access abortion care.
-- And 17 of them were just arrested at a pro-choice rally condemning Trump’s far-right Supreme Court.
With so much on the line, we’re proud to know our House Democrats are fighting for our fundamental freedoms in the face of radical Republican attacks.
But if we’re going to win this fight with the anti-choice GOP, we’ll need each and every one of our grassroots supporters standing united behind us.
