Friends,
I'm fighting to put American families first by expanding paid family leave, because workers should never have to choose between keeping their job or caring for a loved one.
Working with small and medium-sized businesses throughout my career -- I know how critical it is to treat workers with dignity and respect during some of life's biggest moments.
And during a time when even middle class families are already struggling to make ends meet, allowing leave for new parents and individuals with sick family members to care for their loved ones could not be more important.
This is an issue that affects everyone -- which is why I think it's crucial to hear your thoughts on this, team. Do you think paid family leave is a benefit that all workers deserve? >>

Talking to new parents and folks with ailing family members throughout the district has made it clear -- having job security or caring for a loved one is a tough choice no one should have to make.
That's why I've made paid family leave a top priority. And last month, I took action to expand access to family leave for certain workers under the FAIR Leave Act.
But too many of our workers are still left behind. Currently, people making more than $75,000 are twice as likely to get paid leave than people who make less than $30,000. And 94% of low-wage working people in the U.S. have no access to paid family leave.
It's time we close the gap on access to paid family leave, and give all working families the peace of mind they deserve. Do you agree? >>
